Bolt size

I have to pull the motor from my boat to do some transom repairs but before that happens I need to know 2 things. The motor is a 1974 Mercruiser, 302 Ford 188hp with 888 outdrive. First question, will I be able to mount this motor to a standard car engine stand, (ie) the kind that mounts to the rear of the motor? Second, If this is possible, what is the bolt size that threads into the block ? Fine or course threads? Thanks..

1. yes

2. probably 3/8" bolts

The bolts holes in the block are for mounting bell housing are 7/16"

get the 750 lb stand minimum, and leave exhaust manifolds off while on stand
