Hi. I need to pull the flywheel on a 1967 6hp Johnson in order to service the ignition. I have a harmonic puller but not the correct size bolts for the three holes on the flywheel. Can anyone tell me what are the specifications for these? I assume they are an American thread. If so, they may not be easily found here in Ireland. I may need to go to a specialist engineering store so I would really appreciate any help in advance. Are they UNC 1/4 20TPI (I saw this size mentioned on a post for a larger 1968 Johnson).
Thanks in advance. Gavin

Yes, all smaller OMC outboards use the 1/4"-20TPI bolt. Grade 8 or better so you don't break one off in the flywheel...
- Scott

Thanks Chinewalker.
Got the bolts in my local engineering store and fly wheel popped off easy as pie.
