Hallo,

I am Joris Jardin from Belgium. I just found this forum!!

I have bought a Bombard Aerotec a few months ago.

Does anybode has experience with this boat? Or does anybode has experience with a Bombard?

I the past we had a zodiac. That was a really good boat, but it was to heavy to transport with the caravan, when we went on holiday.

I hope that the bombard is from the same quality.

I also don't know if i would buy a 2 or a 4stroke.

I want to buy a 25 Hp so the 2stroke is 50kg and the 4stroke 71kg. And on the boat may only 65.

Thanks,

Joris Jardin

Sorry for my bad English!!

Re: Bombard Aerotec

hello, i'm new here too. i own a 5 meter bombard commando. i think they are of good quality. some people don't like that they're made of PVC material. they prefer hypalon. PVC is also a great material though and mine has aged really well.
as for engine choice i would choose the 2 stroke. your fuel consumption will be low anyway with 25hp so get the lighter engine. it will be louder, but more easily trasported by hand and faster out of the hole.

good luck and welcome.

andy

joris,

i have a 55hp suzuki 2stroke. i think that's about as big as you can go on that boat. it has an aluminum floor and an aluminum center console. it's pretty quick. i use it near the columbia river bar in washington. one of the most dangerous bars in the world. nice and safe:)

andy
