Bonding deck to hull

I recently saved a small sailboat from the dumpster and want to fix it. I'm OK with fiberglass work but a section of the deck (at the bow) has started separating from the hull, and I don't know what to use to securely re-bond them. It's a "shoebox" joint and there were no mechanical fasteners used by the manufacturer for the joint.
Would 3M 5200 be appropriate? I need an extremely strong bond because the boat will be lifted from the bow handle. Would something like Liquid Nails be a better choice?
Here's a couple shots:

liquid nails will never hold it. 5200 will be permanent. will take a week to dry.
