Can someone tell me what a 1998 Maxum 1750 bowirder is worth Granted the many variables like enigine/haul/outdrive conditions. But is an average one worth?

Long story short. I bought a project that is becoming out of control. Wondering where the break even point is.

Thanks to all,

Re: Book values

I don't think there is a break even point on a boat. I bought mine NEW and have been throwing money at ever since:D.

If you do not plan on selling, then I would'nt have a problem putting $$ into something I did myself to take pride in and show off.:)

Otherwise, you have already wasted every penny and thought you put in it.:(

Just kinda what I think.

Re: Book values

The only way I know to figure a fair value of a boat is 2-fold: 1. What is it worth to you? 2. What are similar boats going for in your area?

I looked at all the "guides" when we were shopping, and there was no comparison. Talk about frustrating. All the guides were (no joke) $2-3k less than the current market. Looking at the guides made me miss 2 boats that I think would have been pretty sweet deals..... I wised up. Maybe I should resell mine!

Mostly, though.... what is it worth to you. Do what you want to do with it. You've got a boat to make you happy... so what makes you happy.
