Would it be possible to visualize clutch dog teeth in an OMC lower unit with a borescope passed thru the drain plug? Thank you.

WOW, that would depend on where the drain plug is in relation to the clutch dog. Not sure how flexible your borescope is but it would have to be very flexible AND have its own light source too... But anything is possible...

I dont think you can get to it from the plug. Even if you canget in there to see it, The wear may not be noticeable.

Thanks guys. I looked at a cut away of a LU on youtube and I do believe if you had a small enough scope you could see forward gear dog clutch teeth. But the scope would have to be very small and have light. Not seen one like that.
