I have been trying to chase down a fuel leak . So far have replaced all the pressure lines and have figured out that the leak is at the bottom of the fuel pump. Now I am stumped as to how is the best way to remove the pump so as I can attempt to continue with the repair.

Hope someone here has worked on one of these and can help me out.

Thanks
jim

You might try the scott guy at ask the scott guy.
I used google and ask the scott guy as written.
Looks pretty straight forward in my after market manual.
4 hoses 2 gas in gas out.2 pressure hoses to crankcase.
When replacing hoses proper length is important. first stage is 13 to 13 1/4 inches, second stage is 5 7/8 to 6 1/8.older pumps use reed check valves between the 2 fuel chambers late models use disc type valves.
Its possible the scott guy may have a suggestion for pump replacement.

Forgot to say..that on closer inspection the leak is at the small plate at bottom rightside of crank case.

Should have looked closer before I posted.
