Bottom Paint in white?

I was thinking about putting bottom paint on my boat this year. It was in a slip on the Ohio River for 3 months last year and ended up looking like this.

This year I have already paid for my slip and hopefully I can dunk the boat by early May. So it would be in the water about 6 months.

I see Petit makes a white paint for the bottom. Do most use a contrasting color or is it possible just to match the bottom color?

Most use a contrasting color such as blue or black. I do not think the white will look like gelcoat, which is the look I think you are going for. Also, the copper content of the lighter colors may be less than what you need.

I would recommend blue ablative AF paint.

I would recommend an ablative paint of a color other than white so that you can see where it has worn away and needs to be repainted. West Marine has a couple videos on bottom paint that are good for information purposes.
