I have a 17' wodden boat, and in my search for bottom paint was told that I do not need it. My boat will always be trailered. Maybe, but highly unlikely it could spend one or two days in the water. So my question is do I just prep the same and use the same paint as I am for the top? (brightside - interlux) Does anyone have any history with a paint they have used on the bottom other than bottom paint? (saltwater)Thank you.

tamarackstyle,

I wouldn't apply bottom paint for the application your boat will be used in.

if it's not goin' to stay in the water for more than 3 days .... interlux top side is one-of-the-best there is ...

Interlux is good stuff. Crab Bait is right about the 72 hour rule.

Thanks. I was leaning towards interlux anyhow. The most she will be in the water is one mabey two days tops. And that would be on very rare occasions.
