Bottom Paint

My 2005 Larson Was Painted With Vc 17 Bottom Paint When It Was New. When It Wsa Puuled Out This Fall The Paint Looks Faded And Dull In Spots And Newin Others. What Is The Norm With This Type If Bottom Coat? Every Year, Every Other Or Just When Needed?

Hi 310, vc17 is typically used on racing sailboats.. it's teflon based which makes it slick in the water...it's very thin, almost like a laquer, so it doesn't last much more than a season.. Its anti fowling properties are not to good either, but you can swim down under and just wipe the slime off as nothing much sticks to it when it is fresh....If you leave your boat in the water, I think some of the modified epoxies would be a better choice...
