Bottom painting on trailer

First off, I have a 21ft cuddy cabin with an I/O and a fiberglass hull. Over this past weekend I took on the project of painting the bottom. I painted everywhere except for the areas in contact with the trailer bunks. I have read here on iboats that it is possible to lower the tongue of the trailer, block the back of the boat, and then raise the tongue of the trailer to essentially lift the rear of the boat off of the bunks. I understand the process, but would hate to damage the Hull due to inexperience. So, with that being said, I would like to know if lifting a boat this way could potentially damage my Hull. Also the Hull of my boat is not flat in the back, but rather slightly slanted in a v shape. Is there something else I should.use to support it other than a cinderblock and a piece of wood? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
