It is a 1959 Tide Craft Runabout tri hull with a 35hp chysler. 16ft long 55"wide. Does not leak interior needs work but I bought the boat as a fixer uper. The motor does fire and run. Taking her to the lake this weekend to see if she will push boat. The boat has not been on water in 15 yrs. It just recently had a new floor but in boat.

Re: Bought OLD Boat

I like old boats, and on the restoration forum you will find lots of people who bring old boats to life. I just want to make sure that you dont set yourself up for complete failure- that outboard will need some work before safely running it after a 15yr nap. Head up to the chrysler forum to learn what needs to be replaced (impeller etc) before running it. You would hate to cause damage before your project even begins...

You should really give the outboard, boat, and trailer a thorough service and inspection prior to launching. You could do untold damage by not following the advice listed above such as the impeller, wheel bearings, etc.
