Bought SS Prop off Ebay for Alpha One, doesn't seem quite right. Can I make it fit?

I bought this new prop off ebay. It doesn't seem to quite fit my 1997 5.7L Mercruiser Alpha One. I would very much appreciate if anyone could tell me if i could get this prop to fit, and if so how? Also, once it fits, what hardware would I need on the outside to replace the tabbed washer, nut, and hub insert.

Prop model number Michigan Wheel SSV-212-C

The new prop is in direct contact with the lower unit.

The splines are sticking out the end by a good 1/2 inch or more.

You could probably get by with putting a few shims behind the prop as long as they don't rub on the lower unit and there isn't a significant gap between lower unit and prop hub for exhaust gases to leak through. Then hopefully most of the splines will be covered to use the original prop nut and lock washers. I once turned down an Anode to make a prop fit but have never shimmed one out but its a thought. Hope this helps!

I run an older Michigan wheel on my boat when pulling slalom skiers. I have to use a thicker thrust washer/spacer than what the newer props use. Let me try and find a part #. Some of the old salts on here might know it of the top off their heads.

Umm, once you put the thick washer on, then your new prop, then use what ever you had to hold the original prop on. In other words the only thing different is the thick washer.

The thicker washer adds .28 inches. There is currently between .5 and .75 inches of splines showing on the back of the prop. I'm assuming the splined hub will be required for the left over .25 to .5 inch of exposed splines, right?

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your help.

I am sorry, I forgot the last part of your first post. yes you need the 3714 splined washer then the nut and tabbed washer.

I'm trying to get the replacement before Friday if possible. I can't seem to find anywhere that lists the thickness other than MerCstuff. Can anyone confirm if one of these is the correct part number? I got these from a local marine shop.
