Bought the '72 Holiday

Well, the guy thought it was a '73 but checking the serial number it was a '72!!

We had to take it off the trailer to have the trailer weighed and I discovered that the transom on the port side is very rotten.

Can I still take it out once or twice?

How hard is the transom to replace for a newbie? Do I have to drill out the pop rivet that hold the aluminum t the plywood?

Congrats on the purchase. These old boats are easy to work on. I wouldn't recommend taking it out with a bad transom, you never know what could happen. Transoms are pretty easy to replace. Check out the Starcraft restorations sticky and that will give you a ton of info. Most of all have fun!
