So, I have about 2 gallons (4 gallons actually) of 2 lb foam from my rebuild. I have everything i need done with the foam. Well, As some of you may know its Bow season. And I took a coffee pot cardboard box and sealed it up. Cut an oval hole in the top of it t pour the foam in. And when it almost filled up I put a rope like a loop for a handle. I came up with the idea to make a target. I was wondering if anyone else has did something like this and has any better ideas. Im sure it can be fine tuned. If some people don't know those targets run around 150 bucks for a good one. But My problem was I was wanting to take the cardboard off when finished. That didn't work well. I tried to spray the inside with a hair of grease. But it wouldn't come off. Either way it worked great to shoot arrows into. I was thinking if i made some sort of mold that can be used over and over, maybe put plastic on the inside and it will come out. Maybe make one out of wood or something. So, whatcha all think? :)

P.S- I know I'm crazy but, aren't we all a liiiiitle bit crazy here on boats.com? hehehehe

Im just trying to figure a way to perfect it. All the guys at work are wanting me to make them some (they all hunt) and I figured maybe someone on here would have thought of it or tried it before. Boats,Fishing,Hunting,........ hehehe and I guess ripping a boat apart and rebuilding it all goes hand in hand. lol

Most of those poly foams will stick to about anything. You might try wax paper as a liner for the box. The paper may let the block slide out of the box. I doubt you'd be able to get the paper off the block, but at least the cardboard wouldn't be dulling your broadheads.

Why not line the box with the likes of a trash bag? I've never used the foam but remember reading a post from Ooops about lining cavities with poly sheeting (I think) to make removable floatation in case the need for repair arose.

I know it won't stick (not really) to plastic. I was thinking of using a roll of plastic and using it on the inside of the box. I was hoping that someone has tried it before. I mean... That foam isn't cheap but its a LOT cheaper then targets from Gander Mountian or Bass Pro Shops. They do work great. I used saran wrap around a piece of plywood on my restore to pour my deck. Areas that I didn't want the foam to go i just laid it down. But I sprayed it with PAM cooking spray. It really worked great!
