I have an '07 Bayliner 185. My wife, 4 yr old son and I love going on day trips to the Potomac River in MD to anchor up and spend the day swimming, fishing and just wasting time. However, we are expecting another child this May, and I was wondering if anybody ever heard of any kind of "extended" bow cover? We would like to be able to lay the baby down in the shade and coolness of a covered area away from the back of the boat. We have the standard bow cover that fits down snug, but we would like something that is raised up more. I was thinking of a cover that would use the existing snaps along the bow, but then could snap to the top of the windshield. Kind of making a little room up front. When I asked my boating friends and family for suggestions, the best answer I got was, "real boaters don't have kids right at the begining of boating season."
