Bow Covers?

I have an '07 Bayliner 185. My wife, 4 yr old son and I love going on day trips to the Potomac River in MD to anchor up and spend the day swimming, fishing and just wasting time. However, we are expecting another child this May, and I was wondering if anybody ever heard of any kind of "extended" bow cover? We would like to be able to lay the baby down in the shade and coolness of a covered area away from the back of the boat. We have the standard bow cover that fits down snug, but we would like something that is raised up more. I was thinking of a cover that would use the existing snaps along the bow, but then could snap to the top of the windshield. Kind of making a little room up front. When I asked my boating friends and family for suggestions, the best answer I got was, "real boaters don't have kids right at the begining of boating season."

A standard bimini would be a 3-bow is 6'...you could upgrade to a 4-bow 8'.
Every grandchild has riden in a car seat nestled forward amidships (no walk-thru), so the standard bimini worked for me.

We have a standard bimini top, I was wondering about something to cover just up in front of the windshield. Under the bimini doesn't always provide constant shade, plus that's where the 4 yr old is making most of his noise. Sorry if I'm not being clear enough.

I know it isn't too tall but we just use the regular bow cover, the grand kids love getting up there and keep warm and play.

to do exactly that, use snaps and then attach to the windshield, you would have to get a custom cover made. I have never seen anything remotely close, other than that anchor shade i showed you which i have heard is very flexible for mounting, easy to use, etc.

"real boaters don't have kids right at the begining of boating season." I hope the people telling you this have their own boat and arent expecting rides on yours, i wouldn't be letting em on mine after that statement lol.
