Bow Keel rides on crossbar plastic

I just bought my first boat, a 96 21' Chris Craft Concept. The dealer set me up with a road king tandem axle rear bunk trailer. I put the boat in the water and got it home OK, but upon inspection I noticed the bow keel is sitting squarely on the so called "bow cradle" (per road king's website) that is fashioned on the forward crossbar. This "bow cradle" is 2 lengths of PVC pipe in a V shape with a plastic base in the center. It seems to me there is way too much weight from my keel sitting on this structure. Being a newbie, I don't know: is my keel even supposed to touch here, much less have weight on it when all winched up and in transport? Do I need to have my bunks adjusted or some such thing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
