Bow Mount engine

I have an 18ft pontoon boat (gregor octapon). I have been looking to mount a small engine of mine (1960's evinrude lighttwin) on it. Unfortunately, there is little to no room in the stern. So i figure because you turn the whole engine around to go in reverse, I could get a bow-mount. I neeed a horizontal mount. Does anybody have any tips?<br /><br />P.S. I can't trailer it if anything goes over the front, so I planned to take the engine off when trailering.

Sounds doable if the shaft is long enough to get the AV plate under water, Yammy.<br /><br />Look in the megamall for troller mounts to mount a transom-mount troller on the bow. It should be strong enough for your li'l Rude.<br /><br />Good luck.
