Bow mount trolling on Starchief?

Hello gents, I believe I've caught the Starmada fever thanks to all your great stories!

Going to look at a garage kept '66 SC tomorrow and wondering about boat control for fishing...has anyone seen a bowmount trolling motor on a SC?

Thanks for any input (good bad or just to poke fun) and I'll turn in my application for the club if I bring'er home.

Good luck. Starchiefs are super cool. what's this one got for power?

I have a bow mount on my SS, works well.

It's got an 85 HP Evinrude, looks to be about a '72.

I've seen in the pics that there is a transom bracket for a kicker/troller, but with the cabin & windshield catching breezes I'm thinking that holding a course for casting would be incredibly difficult without pulling from the front.

I'd agree with you. I tried using a transom mount troller on my 16' and it was a nightmare. You spent so much time course correcting you could hardly fish.
