Bow not on bow stop

Hey guys I'm new to boating and I'm having trouble putting the boat back on the trailer. I replaced the trailer crank with a new one and now everytime I put the boat back on the trailer the bow sits underneath the bow stopper. I compare the old and the new and they are about the same size. I have a 16' 1986 procraft bass boat. I'm not sure if it's the new crank on the trailer, the ramp is too steep, I put my trailer too far in the water, or too shallow.

I'm planning on taking my boat out again this weekend so any advice would be appreciated. I just don't want to look like a fool on the ramp.

Re: Bow not on bow stop

i would agree on the trailer not at the right depth. When backing in use your boat fenders or other visible part of the trailer from the tow vehicle driver seat to guage depth. Then try a little bit less and less until you find your sweet spot.
