bow rider trolling motor question

have a bow rider and a bow mount trolling motor. Is there any way to temporarily mount the trolling motor mount for fishing and so that it can be removed when the family is in the boat?

There are a number of quick release mounting plates for trolling motors. Minnkota makes a couple different types. They consist of two interlocking plates. One mounts to the motor, the other to the boat. You pull a pin, slide the motor on, and insert the pin to lock it in place. Reverse the procedure to remove the motor. Get them here on iBoats. I used a quick release bracket on the swim platform of my bow rider. Works fine for me - althouth, I recommend you exhaust all bow mounting options before you consider putting it on the stern.

I recently installed MinnKota's quick release for my bow mounted trolling motor and it works great. All that's left on the boat when I'm not fishing is a small plastic square that's not at all in the way.
