I noticed last week when I launched my 2455 for the first time, that unless I backed the trailer out waaay further than I like, the bow spirit (pulpit?) would hit the bow roller. Also having to wade out far enough to cause "shrinkage" will be a major pain once the water really cools off. Of course even backed out that far, I still have to lift the bow up slightly in order to get it over the roller. Unfortunately, I can not adjust the bunks to compensate for this.
Right now the bow eye sits below the bow stop roller. Recently, I have seen a couple of setups where the bow eye on the boat sits above the bow stop roller like this:
which seems odd to me since all of my previous boat trailers have been set up so that the bow stop roller is above the bow eye. Yes I "borrowed" the pic from another post.
Does anybody see any problems with re-adjusting my current setup so that the bow eye on the boat sits above the bow stop roller?
