so i’m stripping my 96 tyee down to the bare hull to replace transom and carpet. also replacing all the wood. my question is what kind of bracing is needed once the cap comes off? and for the transom as well. boat is sitting on a roller trailer, and i will be in and out of it cleaning and such. do i need to make braces to hold the shape, or is it okay with just the aluminum? there shouldn’t be any force applied to the sidewalls, and the stringers are staying in place. i was thinking of sandwiching the top of the sidewalk with 2x4s and running one from side to side. should i do that a couple times and put some angles in it?? what day the experts?

none. the aluminum ribs in the hull will support the hull just fine

its not a fiberglass boat.

Looking at your pics, if it was a concern the hull should have been braced before taking the cap off. Good thing it's an aluminum boat.
