I know I should know this, but on disk brake calipers and when bleeding the brakes, do both bleeders have to be opened or will opening just one of them do the trick?

Thanks.

Re: brake bleeding question please

To both parts of your question THE anser is NO !!
you bleed the on farthest from the master cylinder first - then bleed the next one farthest from the master cylinder, untill you get all of them bled !!

Re: brake bleeding question please

So each caliper has two bleeders on them. I only need to open one of them per wheel/caliper?

If the caliper has two bleeders on it, you open the one on top to bleed.

There are not two bleeders per caliper. just one per caliper. But Yes bleed the cal furthest then the other one.
Got Pics? Never have seen two bleeders Per Calipers.????

Post #3 gives me the impression there are two on each caliper.

Ayuh,... Those are multi-fit calipers, just bleed from the highest bleeder screw...

Air rises...

Dual piston calipers will sometimes have 2 bleeders, one for each piston

Yea, from what I've read they are dual piston. I figured one per piston maybe. Ok, so I just have to bleed one of them and the one that is more to the top than the other. Ok....I think I got it....thanks.

That brake assy. in link is universal ( can be mounted to rear or front or on top of rotor ) depending on the installer !
Had OP mounted to the front or rear of the rotor instead of top ,,there would have been one bleeder valve on top per link Picture !!
Have almost same set & very happy with them .

If it were me, I would be bleeding both of them just to make sure.
