I have a surge brake system with a Tie down engineering model 66 actuator. My brakes felt soft and when I got home there was brake fluid all over my truck. has anyone had any experience fixing these? Is it best to buy a new mater cylinder or try to tinker with it?

Re: Brake fluid leaking

The last time I checked the difference in cost between a new master cylinder and a new coupler was such that it wasn?t worth messing with. Just changed out the entire thing.

Ayuh,... The 1st Question is;
Where, Exactly is it leakin' from,..??..??
My brakes felt soft
That sounds like it's the Truck.....

It's absolutely not the truck. This is my 8th season towing with this truck. It has brand new brakes in it now and it's never been an issues towing this rig.
I haven't been able to ID the exact source of the leak yet. It's coming from underneath the coupler and I haven't had time to take it apart yet.
