Bravo 3 flushing

So I use muffs that I got from West Marine with the dual water feed. Mechanic says I should be using the kind with the rod that goes through the drive.
Does it matter???

Nope, doesn't matter at all, either will work. I personally like the ones with the rod, they can't fall off.
