1997 Bravo 3
I've got a discrepancy in the quantity of oil I drained out and the quantity of oil that went back in.
Drive trimmed level.
1st I drained the lube monitor. Then I opened the vent plug and drained 16-20oz of lube out. (Lube now level with bottom of vent plug) Next I pulled the top cover for inspection. After inspection I reinstalled the top cover.
I filled the monitor with lube and waited for it to start draining out vent plug. I reinstalled the vent plug and topped the lube monitor off.
Monitor is still full after some boating and I've used no where close to 16-20oz of lube to top off.
Am I low on lube now or was it overfilled previously??
I've read a bunch of contradictory statements regarding overfilling the Bravo drives and am hoping for clarification.
