I changed the oil in my bravo 3 outdrive and it took just less than 3 quarts to reach the fill line in the reservoir so I assume I got some air in while filling (I could see some air in the pump tube while filling). Whats the best way to get the air out? Run it for a few minutes?

Using almost 3 quarts means the only air left is in the very top, none is in the lower, your good

The lube bottle will refill the rest in the first few hours. To do it quicker lay the drive down with vent hole facing up, then pour lube into the hole. There will still be a very small pocket but this to will fill with running

^^^ Yep. When you fill a Merc drive there is always air left under the top cover due to the location of the top vent. Run your boat normally, but watch the lube reservoir. It will drop slightly after the first few run/cool down cycles. Top it off and the level will stay. ...unless you have leaky seals.

The first few years I had my boat I would pop the top cover after lube fill and top off the drive. I learned this was a waste of time since the lube monitor will do this on its own.
