Hi All,

I'm hoping to clean out my pucks on the sender/limit switch this weekend. My needle is acting funny as of this weekend, basically when you activate the trim/tilt the gauge moves all over the place and finally settles into position a second or two after you release it. I believe it may be corroded inside the pucks or at a ground. If cleaning/inspecting the connections don't work, I''ll go the replacement route. Now, I know in the manual it tells you to remove the drive and bellows so you can get to the wire retaining cover. I'd rather not do that as I don't have the necessary tools (and I heard if you remove a few things you need to replace them with new).

Is there a current forum showing instructions for this on the Bravo One? Maybe fabricate a tool if necessary so you can reach up there and get to those bolts that hold the retaining cover on? That looks like the hardest part is getting to those so you can swap out the pucks.

I can tell you that in October of 2010 on my Bravo 3, the mobile mechanic I was using was able to get at that bolt from the port side using a swivel and extension without removing any other components.
I do remember it took him a few minutes to get it started but he did get it.
He said he had done the same multiple times previously so I was just another victory in him being able to do that.
