I have a 1994 Wellcraft cruiser with 5.7 & Bravo II…I was wondering if I have the correct prop, I checked the prop today and founded the prop to be pitched at “25” not sure if this is a bit too much pitch. 48-18620A40 17.25 x 25P

Thanks, Al

Re: Bravo Prop Pitch

The boat it’s 24’ 4500 dry weight…the thing is that it’s a bit hard to plane. This weekend I had four adults and four kids, I had to be asking them to shift forward in order for the boat to plane. (maybe I’m asking too much). Will a lower pitched and greater diameter prop help, something like 17.75 x 21. WOT was around 4200-4500

Re: Bravo Prop Pitch

Not really, the starboard side doesn’t work… (Just got the boat a month ago, haven’t had the time to really see what’s the problem is, the pump works but the actuator doesn’t move) The prop needs to be repaired; one blade is bended. But I’m not sure if it’s worth it, if it’s the wrong prop. A friend has a prop he’s willing to sell me, it’s 17.75 x 21P, will this help or make matters worse?

Thanks guys…Al
