My steering lever is worn out. Do you typically replace the steering swivel shaft when replacing the lever? I have not taken it apart yet to see if the shaft is worn out, but I know the lever is (has been worn out for years...)

Replaced my shaft and had the ring rebuilt years ago but the arm was fine. If you have no slop in the pin to ring fit I would wait until after disassembly before deciding what is needed. Is your arm splined or square fit?

It's a square fit. I think all "regular" Bravo drives are. I broke my gimbal ring backing off the trailer, into a rock, a few years ago and used a JR Marine U-bolt. It's still tight.

Ayuh,..... I think the splined steerin' shafts disappeared way back in the early MC-1 days, long before the Bravos,....
