Is there a step by step download for bravo two outdrives? I mean for removal of the unit and replace bellows like shift cables and such.

I forgot to add....does sterndrive make a replacement for them as well or do you have to get teh mercrusier brand. I went to teh sterndrive link here at iboats but it doesnt offer the bravo two unless i did it wrong, which is very possible.lol

Up in the Adults only sticky you will find links to the OEM Service manual downloads. They are about as close as you will get for a step by step manual. They were designed for Merc techs that went to the schools, but if you read them, you will see how the job is done.

Re: Bravo two outdrive

SEI makes a Bravo 1 lower unit only, no B2 lower. Noone makes a top unit for them.
Konrad makes a complete replacement drive for them. But it's just as expensive or more expensive than a Mercruiser.
Removing and reinstalling a Bravo drive is "easy", with only one little pitfall. The shift cable sticks into a set of "jaws" in the drive. You have to make sure the jaws are open and that the little ball on the end of the cable goes into it. If not, you'll be able to shift into forward, but not reverse, and you'll have to remove the drive to fix it. Oh and a second person is a good idea, Bravo drives are HEAVY and cumbersome. My B3, without props, weighed 153 pounds.
Good luck.

TilliamWE. Is ther a special tool needed for the job? How do you make the "jaw" pop open?

No special tool, the jaws come open when you pull the drive apart. And they can be pretty stiff, so they would stay open. But if you bump them prior to putting it back on, or if the jaws are getting old (like mine were!) they might close. You'll understand what I mean as soon as you see them. Not hard or magic, just something to be aware of when putting the drive back on.
Also, in case you don't know, you leave the shifter inside the boat in Neutral. Do NOT put it in forward or reverse prior to taking the drive off.

Re: Bravo two outdrive

well I am still not sure where the leak is coming from...so if the things i have done this week dont work I will have to pull it back out of the water and then I guess just take the outdrive off and redo the bellows and the drive seal area. Is there any type of sealant I can put on the outside of where the drive touches the transom area?...also a type of sealant for the seacock?
