Peter Bailey, health and safety chairman for the National Mineworkers Union, said the first 74 men reached the surface shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday. "They are all doing well," he said.

SBN, Sorry if I can across as harsh, but I have strong opinions about the media these days.

If they would have waited a while before trying to "scoop" the competition, they would have realized this was a non-event.
