breezy point beach

hello !
Sunday 8, i, maybe , will boat from bennet field to breezy point with family.
i read that is like private area and hard to go by land (4x4 permit ???) , but it is possible ( problems ?) by sea ?

in general , which beaches are accessible with an inflatable (in NYC) ?

to get to the oceanside of breezy pt you need a 4x4 permit (i never been but heard it is amazing during summer). i personally would not take my family to any other beach in nyc. brighton and manhatten beaches are dirty, nasty and over populated. Me personally, I would leave boating to nyc but if you want an amazing place where you can boat and picnic with your family then nys parks are awesome for that. imagine you go boating on a lake then come back to shore , fire up the grill and have a great picnic with the family.

Hello Boaters,

so i did go to Breezy point from Bennett field with the family .
My 9.8HP is too small for that , was impossible to get on plane, i did 8-9 Kn/h most of the time , sometime cannot go over 7-8 , only one time
i did 12, but we were surfing on a boat wave !!!!
i think the load was around 650 Lbs (2 adults 2 kids 8 years old)
Need a bigger engine for this kind of outing , did not feel very safe with all this boats and jet ski around with no speed.

But be able to stay on the beach at Breezy point was good !

I am super surprised that a new 9.8 was not good enough. I was standing outside and it was quite warm but o felt a strong breeze. I would try again on a calmer day and i am sure your experience will be better. Personally on a high chop day i have a hard with my 15hp
