OK, this is a long shot, but I have had pretty good luck with this forum in the past so here goes:

I am building a Gator Swamp boat and I want to install a remote British Seagull on the back (I have a 1972 Forty- Featherweight). The hull is so narrow (it's a true Pirogue) that turning around is going to be tough.... the steering is going to be a single lever that I saw on a kayak once but I need to move the thumb lever throttle to the mid-ship using a custom made 48 inch cable.

My question is... does anyone know of a tech that can manufacture that cable for me? It is really simple, it just has a brass ball on both ends.... but it needs to fit both the throttle and the carb to work.

Thanks,
Capt. Dave

Re: British Seagull throttle cable extension resource needed

i have been pondering almost that same dilema. i have a couple of gulls here that have cracked and frayed cables ( cables were to short from the factory imo!!) and i dont want to pay the huge price for an nos cable from across the pond! a bicycle cable that long would be iffy for backing off the thottle.
the saving old seagulls forum may be of help.
