broke in the river

I thought my 96 evinrude 115 was ready but broke down. We ran all day long but because of the breakdown location I just got the motor back and just flushed it. I have read about the salt corrosion buildup and wanted to know what I should do in regards to the week long delay in flushing following the long use in saltwater. Thanks...

no problem. those of us who use and moor our boats in salt water can't flush them after every use, nor do we use them daily, so they may sit without flushing for a while. They can take it.
