Broke plastic pin now what

70hp rude I broke the little plastic rod that the float hinges on in the carb ,any idea what I could improvise???i.e metal wire paper clip ??

It must be an exact size. Your dealership will have a zillion of those things laying around.

Just buy a carb rebuild kit, it comes in those kits...at least it did with my carb kit...

Once upon a time they were brass, then changed to plastic. Either will work. You probably can get a piece of brass rod in the correct diameter from a good hardware store. But I'm with Joe, the guy in the shop has a bunch of them in his junk drawer.
