Broken cam roller

My e15ecec 89 15 hp evinrude started to become hard to start and wants to bog down and stall whenever I accelerated the throttle. Once I got past the initial bogging down it seemed to run fine at high speed, but once I slowed it down it would bog and stall. If I just barely give it throttle it will go slow. I figured I was running lean and tried enriching by turning slow speed needle but continued to stall. I finally got some time and was going to take a look at the carb, which I rebuilt about 2 months ago, and noticed that the cam roller sleeve was completely split down the middle. My question is do you think this is my problem? I'm gonna go pick the part up tomorrow anyways since it is broken, just interested in seeing what the experts think.

Thanks guys,

Re: Broken cam roller

Without a picture it's hard to see how big the effect will be, but if the cam roller diameter is
significantly smaller than it's supposed to be, the throttle opening will be much smaller than
it's supposed to be in the mid-range, which could well lead to running issues. So replace the
roller and let us know what happens...

Re: Broken cam roller

Thanks for your responses. I got the part yesterday and will do a barrel test to see how the fix works out. Will update you tomorrow. As for the picture i will post the roller tomorrow as well. The sleeve that goes on the roller was completely split in half and had a big chunk missing out of it, if that gives you a better idea.
