Broken Fuel Gauge

I have a fuel gauge under the deck, which either doesn't work or the needle is stuck. What do I need to look for in replacing the gauge?

If the needle on the gauge is stuck on Empty, check the senders ground connection, an improper ground will cause this.

It appears to be stuck on half full and has been stuck there even after putting in 12 more gallons.

Did you test the sender as per the instructions?

Do you have a multimeter?
