I hit a submerged object that snapped off 1/2 of the starboard side of the cavitation plate on my 200 Yamaha lower unit. Any problem running without it? (Boat has trim tabs) I hear the metal can be reformed at machine shops with aluminum welding; anybody experienced that? I continued running after the incident and appeared to have no problems. Anyone else out there ever broke off a piece of their housing material?
