Hi,
it's seems as my powertrim electric motor is broken. I've dissambled it and it seems as there is som kind of shortcut within the solenoid. First, Am I right in my conclusion? Second, if I am right, is there anywhere I can find a used one?

I have a Evinrude 110, -87.

Re: broken powertrim motor

I have had the same problem, my motor was a bit older and probably harder to get parts for. After pulling the T/T motor apart I found a short in the field coil, it was going to cost mega-bucks to replace the motor. In the end I went down to the local auto-electrician who arranged a re-wind of the motor, it worked out very cheap. You could also try these guys for parts....

good luck.

http://www.apimarine.com/
