bronze oil injection drive gear??

Hello,

I'm the 2nd owner of a 1999 Mercury 150 efi. The previous owner had a new "Quicksilver Repower" powerhead installed in 2003. After buying the boat, I took it to a Mercury dealer near us to have a new water pump installed, and while it was there I asked them to check the oil injection system to make sure everything is operational. The dealer told me that the new powerhead is equipped with a bronze drive gear for the oil injection pump. Is this correct? I've never heard of this before.

Does not have a bronze gear, it a 2 piece plastic..

Thank you--one more reason why I no longer do business with that dealer.
