BRP Side Controller Question

I had this installed for my 1984 Erude 100 V4 Commercial back in 2007

The little beeper/sound device beeps when starting but the last time came on continuously with a steady noise for about two minutes...........Then stopped. Now I am trying to find out what the device is and what it does and why. I could call my dealer that installed it but it is Sunday. I did not get a manual with the installation. Thanks Don

It's either the overheat alarm or the oil alarm if you have a VRO. Usually they beep for a second at start up for a sort of "self test". Now why it stayed on, needs to be figured out. Maybe it was a bad t-stat that opened later than normal and the heat sensor on the head triggered the alarm.
