Re: Brrrr!

It hasn't reached us yet but I know its gonna drop from the upper 60's down into the 40's and be very windy. Houston is supposed to get down to 23 tomorrow night which would mean we could get into the 30's.

There go my Hibiscus plants.

Might as well bite the bullet Ms Ladyfish and get you some new Buscuit trees. The cold here got the ones I had with the braided trunks. I hate it too cause those there some cool lookin trees.

It just rolled through here about 10 minutes ago. The goats are shaking it so cold. Ya'll Northerners keep the stuff, we don't want it.

Re: Brrrr!

My fishing schedule is every other weekend. Deal I worked out with the mrs. two years ago - it's great cause she never complains (verbally or otherwise). But I'd go tomorrow despite the weather...cold front like this turns the hybrid stripers on.

Ladyfish, have you tried shredded hardwood mulch? It generates heat...won't help blossums much, but it will definately keep the plant alive. Water 'em good before the freeze hits, too...freezing temps deprives plants of water.

I was sweating my butt off working on the boat today. Had to come inside and turn on the AC to cool off for a while.
