Brushes for Tilt & Trim motor

I have a CMC tilt and trim. I need to replace the brushes in the hydraulic motor. They are not available from CMC. They want to sell me a new hydraulic unit. does anyone know where I can get brushes for this. They measure 1/4 x 3/8 and I am guessing probably 3/4" length when new. The are made of what looks like a carbon/copper blend and have a braided wire. Thanks for the help!

Take one to your NAPA store find one the same or bigger and file down to shape and size of a new one. Have done this for a number of things and always worked great.

I use a local shop that rebuilds starters and alternators for my source of hard to find electrical products. They can normally match the brushes from what they have in stock.
