I just bought a 25hp Buccaneer-22D14B. Anyone know the what the compatible carb rebuild kit would be for this thing? It fires for 3 secs or so. I figured on cleaning the carb but I might as well rebuild it while I have it off. It's never been done as it still has the cork float. Also the lower unit is leaking oil, anyone point me in the right direction for new o-rings?

Thank you in advance

Carb kit 18-7010 from here at iboats will work, but will have the wrong kind of fuel filter. Your old one may be ok anyway. Also, it won't have a new float, not does iboats have the float separately. You will have to get that from an Evinrude dealer, part number 375792. They still are cork, but coated with epoxy instead of the old orange shellac which alcohol dissolved.

Lower unit seal kit from here at iboats--just get one for a 1957 35hp Evinrude or Johnson.

Re: Buccaneer 25hp carb rebuild kit

Thank you again. I just ordered the kit from here but before I did I called my local NAPA. I read somewhere in the forums that they carry rebuilds also (was for different motor) anyway...they were $15 higher.
This is truly a one-stop shop... outstanding help if the info is not already here and competitive prices!
Hats off to y'all

Does anyone know what the H/L needle setting should be? I counted when I remove but came up short after replacing orings.
Thank you for any help.

1 1/2 turns on slow speed needle, 3/4 turns on high speed will get it started. It will need readjusted once running, on a boat, on the lake.

Thank you F_R. now I have another issue with another question. Issue- fuel pump sucking air. Question- where to get a rebuild for it? or do I have to buy a whole new pump? Thank you
