Building radar arch?

Has anyone had experience building a radar arch?<br /><br />What's usually used for the core? Are any online plans available?<br /><br />Thanks for any and all advice...<br />DB

Since weight doesn't seem to be a factor, you could get another big piece of cedar and whittle it out of that.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />hooty

Hooty,<br /><br />I see that you didn't like my cedar swim platform idea?<br /><br />I'm sure you know this but...<br /><br />Cedar is very light weight. Much lighter than <br />teak, King Starboard and plastic lumber. The weight of 4 2"x6"x7' planks, Gluvit, Epoxy and glass, would be less than the original platform that is on the boat.<br /><br />Cedar, as does teak, contains oils that make the woods quite decay and rot resistent.<br /><br />And most of all, it's inexpensive compared to all of the other options, except the plastic lumber. I'm not familiar working with plastic lumber either.<br /><br />Thanks for the advice,<br />DB :confused:
