uhmmm,... is your boat aluminum, or fiberglass....?
Help us help you...
When you ask a question , remember we don't have a clue what make ,model, and power you have, until you tell us.......
Sorry. It is fiberglass, 1983 Bomber Bassmaster 15 1/2. The bulge is on drivers side, halway between where back of seats would be & transom & about halfway down. It didn't feel weak but I did not push real hard on it either.
push in on it to check for delamination of the fiberglass or a bubble of some kind. It may just be an imperfection in the hull? If it's soft then you may need to rip into it and redo that section of hull, but it could be a pretty good job to get the repair to look just right with the rest of the hull. Good Luck!
Typically a bulge is created where a b/head meets the hull HARD (why they call it a "hard spot"), but your's sounds to wide to be one. Smack it good and hard with your fist, see if you feel any give...
12x6 sounds like a pretty big "bubble". You need to check for deflection and post a pic or two if you can. Showing both inside and outside would be helpful.
