one of my bunk boards broke the other day, and i am having a problem finding a replacement. the current boards are 3"x 7"x 11' (not sure what wood, but looks like oak) mounted upright on an angle. I am thinking about using two pine 2'x8's screwed together, but wanted some opinions. The boat weighs about 5500lbs, what do y'all think, will the 2 pine boards be strong enough? Any and all advice is appreciated.

Yes, using 2x will work fine, just note if the old boards were square cut where it meets the hull, or they have a slight angle cut in them

Thanks AllDodge, for the response. Yes there is about a 12 degree angle on top. Thanks again for the reassurance.
